Top Gun Suspension - low prices, high quality!

Top Gun suspension has a lot of experience when it comes to suspension and their forks have been used by many brand names, for example Scott USA and Carrera. Now BMB gives you the chance to buy these great forks separately - whatever your riding style, there should be a fork here for you! And in case you doubt the quality, the TGS Elephant-A is raced by founder and BMB Racing team leader Philip Onslow - the same production model as shown on this page!

All fork steerers are 1.125 inch threadless for use with Aheadsets. Steerer length is 250mm for dual-crown forks and 200mm for single-crowners.

TGS Elephant-A/B - £299/£199
As ridden by BMB Racing's team leader, the range-topping Elephant-A downhill fork now offers SEVEN INCHES (180mm) of smooth travel from an oil damper with rebound adjustment. It needs a 20mm hub (110mm width) and a disc brake, which are also available from BMB. Stiffer than a Shiver DC, almost as smooth and half the price, this is the ultimate fork for the downhiller on a budget!

The Elephant-B is the same fork but with no oil damper and six inches (150mm) of travel.

Available in gold anodised only.
TGS 99DHA/99DHB - £175/£125
The former fork of BMB Racing's team leader (before the arrival of the BMB Special prototype DH bike), the 99DHA is perfect for those of you who want long travel without the need for a 20mm hub, or those who just want to save money and weight. Its oil damper with rebound adjustment and coil/MCU spring combo give a plush six inches (150mm) of travel in a reasonably light all-alloy package, featuring a beefy one-piece slider with disc tabs.

The 99DHB is the same but with no oil damper and five inches (125mm) of travel.

Choice of colours: Red, Yellow, Black, Silver, Mango, Blue and Green.

TGS 018DHA/018DH - £99/£79
The 018DHA is similar to the 99DHB but is cheaper as the stanchions are made of heavier steel. It is still a quality fork however, with the light forged crowns and one-piece alloy slider of the 99DHB. The coil/MCU springs offer 100mm of travel and have adjustable preload.

The 018DH has the same construction, but travel is reduced to 70mm and it is non-adjustable.

Choice of colours: Red, Yellow, Black, Silver, Mango, Blue and Green.
TGS 007DHA/007DH - £95/£75
Essentially the same as the 018DHA/018DH above; same travel (100mm/70mm with coil/elastomer springs), same steel stanchions and alloy crowns. The difference is the slider, it's a two-piece like the old RST forks. Both styles have disc tabs - it just depends on whether you prefer bolt-on brake arches or one-piece units. One-piece sliders are generally stiffer.

Colours are the same as above.

TGS 2003A/B - £TBA
The 2003A is Top Gun's signature model for, you guessed it, the year 2003! In this era of beefy single-crown forks for jumping and extreme trails, TGS has outdone themselves and produced this incredible inverted fork, offering five inches (125mm) of travel from a scaled-down version of the Elephant adjustable oil damper and coil/MCU spring. Only the best (and most expensive!) conventional forks can match inverted designs for stiffness, and this little beauty is expected to cost under £250 - half the price of other inverted single-crowners!

The 2003B is essentially the same fork but without the damper - naturally it will be cheaper!
TGS 2002A/B/SA - £155/£125/£99
Last year's signature model, the 2002A is a lightweight XC/trail fork featuring a magnesium slider (with disc tabs), giving a total weight of just 3.7lbs! Travel is 100mm, and the oil damper is a version of that used on the 99DHA downhill fork - smooth damping with adjustable compression, and a coil/MCU spring with preload adjustment. Available in silver only.

The 2002B is the same fork but without the damper.

The 2002SA has reduced travel (80mm) and elastomer springs (not as responsive as the coil/MCU combo).

TGS 2001A/B - £195/£155
Top Gun's first signature model, the 2001A features a carbon fibre lower leg, never seen before at this price! Weighing in at 3.75lbs, thanks to the lightweight carbon, it has 100mm of travel adjustable for preload, and like the new 2003A it uses the scaled-down Elephant damper with rebound adjustment. It uses a normal QR hub, but it does need disc brakes - there are no V-brake bosses! It comes in raw carbon with black finish, as shown.

The 2001B is the same fork but without the damper.
TGS 009ADO/009AD - £125/£99
This XC/trail fork uses a stiff one-piece alloy slider (with disc tabs) and weighs just 3.9lbs, when most coil-sprung trail forks weigh more than 4lbs! The compression adjustable damper is shared with the 2002A, and the adjustable coil/MCU spring system offers 85mm of travel.

The 009AD is the same fork but without the damper.

Choice of colours: Red, Yellow, Black, Silver, Mango, Blue and Green.

TGS 028AL/AD/SA/E - £99/£89/£79/£59
All of these quality budget forks feature steel stanchions, a forged alloy crown and a one-piece alloy lower leg with disc tabs. The 028AL and the 028AD have MCU/coil springs with preload adjustment and offer 100mm and 80mm of travel respectively.

The 028SA is the same as above but with elastomer springs and 70mm of travel.

The 018 is the same as the SA version but without preload, hence the cheaper price.

Choice of colours: Red, Yellow, Black, Silver, Mango, Blue and Green.

TGS 207AD/SA/E - £85/£75/£55
The 207AD is essentially the same as the 028AD above; same travel (80mm with coil/MCU springs), preload adjustable, same steel stanchions and alloy crown. The difference is the lower leg, it's a two-piece leg like the old RST forks. Both styles have disc tabs - it just depends on whether you prefer bolt-on brake arches or one-piece units. One-piece units are generally stiffer.

The 207SA is internally the same as the 028SA. Likewise with the 207E.

Colours are the same as above.
